Freshmen and sophomores were honored for their academic excellence at the annual Honors Day, held in the DHS Little Theater. Family and friends were welcomed to DHS to share this milestone with their students on Friday afternoon.

Mrs. Rogers and several faculty members presented plaques to each student in recognition of their academic accomplishments, and two sophomores were recognized as members of the ACT 30+ club, bringing the total number of students in this year's club to 21. Chloe Bruce and Clara Serquina were presented with a small gift for their high scores.

More than 100 students were recognized in Friday's ceremony, after which students, family, and friends were treated to a small reception in the lobby of the Terry Glover Gymnasium. DHS has always held a tradition of excellence, and honoring its students with this ceremony is just one way faculty can show their appreciation.

Congratulations to all who were honored!
