Gavin Ball - Reporter Staff Photo On Friday, November 14, the University of Tennessee Martin hosted the Young Writers Conference. At this conference, UTM had two sessions, and each session had five classes that the students chose from. Personally, for my first session, I chose the “Maybe I Could Play a Tune” workshop, taught by David Carithers,  in which students were encouraged to write creative lyrics and express themselves musically and in new ways.
