Homecoming for the Holidays: Intramural Volleyball

On Thursday, September 24, students played in the annual intramural volleyball game, a game played by male students. This event was organized to build school spirit for the Homecoming game, held Friday at JC Sawyers Stadium.
To start the games, the junior and freshman boys took the court. Both teams started with intensity, and the gym cheered for their class. Juniors showed their intense determination throughout the game, but the freshmen played hard against the juniors. Ultimately, the juniors won 24-17.
Promptly after that game, the sophomore and senior classes moved to face off on the court. As the boys showed their readiness to win, the student sections erupted with excitement. After an enticing game, the sophomores won 23-18 against the seniors.
Following this amazing game, students should focus their attention on the final game held Friday during school, where junior and sophomore classes battle for the win. This will set up the night for the DHS Homecoming game against Obion, held on September 25th, followed by the Homecoming Dance after the game.
