Last weekend, Caroline Erikson, Claire Fisher and Micah Tosh hosted a daddy-daughter dance at Dyersburg High School as a part of their DECA Written Presentation on Community Awareness. The purpose of this dance was to host a fun event for family and friends to come together due to Dyersburg’s recent lack of community events such as dances. The fundraiser was modeled off of the Lights, Camera, Fashion program used to spread awareness of St. Jude, hosted by the dress shop My Best Friend Jenna in Jackson, TN. This shop’s goal was to raise money and awareness for the foundation. By the end of the event, the girls raised $5,000 for St. Jude with the help of sponsors.
