Fall break means there are ten full days of sleeping in, cooler weather, and no stressing over upcoming assignments. Most people want to take advantage of this time to do fun fall activities, but don’t know where to start.
The Reelfoot Arts & Crafts Festival at Reelfoot Lake is the perfect place to kick off your fall adventures. The festival is from October 2-4, where there will be hundreds of pop-up stands, crafts and food to enjoy with friends and family.
Green Acres in Milan which is open from September 26 through November 7 is a great Halloween-themed option. They offer a corn maze and over 10 acres of fall activities such as cornhole, pumpkin bowling and sack races. It is also an excellent place to take photos since there are backdrops decorated with pumpkins and flower gardens surrounding the area.
Some prefer to stay at home and rest during the break, making a movie marathon the perfect option to spend time with friends complete with blankets, snacks and classic Halloween movies such as Hocus Pocus or Beetlejuice.
For those looking for an adventure and with a higher budget, a road trip to the Great Smoky Mountains has scenic views considering the leaves changing color. There are also many tourist attractions in the larger parts of town.
With so many thrilling options to choose from, there is no reason to spend fall break sitting at home!
