Before the Big Game: The first pep rally of the season

In preparation for the big rival game against Dyer County, Dyersburg High School had its first Pep Rally of the year. The cheerleaders energized the crowd by performing the infamous “Battle Cry” cheer, the upperclassmen, of course, booing the freshmen. After the cheerleaders’ performance, the dance team performed a Hip-Hop routine to “Squabble Up” by Kendrick Lamar, hyping up the entire gym. After that, the Trojan Steppers came out, blowing the crowd away with new steppers and an engaging performance. After everyone had performed, students played games such as tug-of-war, sticky cups and musical chairs, all highly competitive to the students of DHS. This pep rally wasn’t only the opening to a thrilling football season, but also the start of the year.
