Dyersburg is known for its many small businesses. From the Blacksmith to Small Cakes, Dyersburg’s small businesses have you covered. One notable addition was Cowboy Fizz last October. Cowboy Fizz Co. is owned and operated by Jackie Larsen.
Cowboy Fizz is located downtown across from the Bargain Vault and serves a wide array of dirty sodas. Dirty sodas are sodas like coke or sprite mixed with flavoring and some type of cream. Cowboy Fizz also offers dirty energies, which are made with either a Redbull or Alani Nu.
For most major holidays or seasons, Cowboy Fizz creates a special menu and puts it on their Facebook. Their most recent menu is the Back-to-School menu. I decided to try one of these drinks and share some details to hopefully bring some well-deserved attention to this wonderful establishment.
The store itself is rather small, with the walls covered in their most recent menus, pictures of the owner’s grandson and large copies of their main (year-long) menu. At the counter, I ordered Dean’s List, which is Redbull plus strawberry, cupcake and vanilla syrup. I ordered the 32 ounce which was 10 dollars even. The drink was a light pink color and tasted extremely sweet, with a hint of the signature redbull taste. I thoroughly enjoyed this drink, and plan to come back!
Next time your are thinking of somewhere to go, consider going out and supporting one of the best small businesses we have here in Dyersburg. By doing so, you help support and build up our community. Plus, you’ll get a tasty drink while you are at it!
