  Leaves are finally falling and the weather is getting cooler as November continues. With Thanksgiving Break around the corner, students and families are searching for the most exciting spots to enjoy their leisure time. Keeping this in mind, there are several awesome places throughout Tennessee for students and families to visit and let loose as they await the upcoming holiday.


  1. Lucky Ladd Farms, Eagleville, TN

   Located in Middle Tennessee, right outside of Murfreesboro, Lucky Ladd Farms is a park attraction and petting zoo for individuals of all ages. Offering a range of amusing activities such as pony rides, a petting zoo and wildlife exhibits to gem and fossil mining, pumpkin patches with mazes and fun obstacle courses, Lucky Ladd Farms is perfect for children and adults. The attraction also offers a wide variety of foods and sweet treats, serving hamburgers and apple cider sips with donuts.


  1. Natchez Trace State Park, Henderson, TN

   For the outdoorsy families looking for a new adventure before Thanksgiving, Natchez Trace State Park, located in West Tennessee, is the perfect place to visit. With activities such as camping, rock climbing and even hiking, Natchez Trace State Park offers a fun variety of activities for families who enjoy staying outdoors. Alongside the adventurous activities, the park also offers cozy cabins and a variety of restaurants.

   Located in Gatlinburg, Anakeesta is an adventurous amusement park offering Christmas activities for visiting families. With holiday-themed restaurants and gift shops, as well as fun activities such as ziplining and strolling through the Vista Gardens, Anakeesta is the perfect place for families searching for a fun bonding experience before Christmas’ arrival.

   Bordering East Tennessee, the Great Smoky Mountains offer a fun variety of family-friendly activities such as bicycling, horse riding and wildlife viewing.
