On Monday, March 23, the Dyersburg Trojans baseball team hosted their hometown rival, the Dyer County Choctaws. Junior pitcher Brett Horner started hot, holding the Choctaws to three runs for four innings. During the second inning, the Trojans put their bats to work and scored three runs in the bottom of the third. By the fourth inning, junior Ryan Wesson began pitching. However, the Choctaws came back to win 8-4.
On Tuesday, March 24, the Dyer County Choctaws hosted the Trojans for another game. Junior John Parker Noblin successfully pitched the whole game. He completed the game with 4-5 from the plate. The Trojans were both defensively and offensively strong. They won the game 5-2.
The Trojans play again on Thursday, March 26, against Tipton Christian. Come out to support!
