  On September 8, 2026, the Dyersburg Golf Team played an intense match against Crockett County, bringing home a win for both teams.

   The boy’s team won 161-166, with John David Morris, Ryan Wesson, Jayce Ellerbrook, Brett Horner and Thaxton Coppage all working together to secure the win. John David Morris was 2nd medalist, tied with a Crockett golfer with a score of 39. Ryan Wesson came away with 37 points and was named the 1st medalist. 

   Meanwhile, Stella Madden and Cally Cook won 95-97. The game was close, decided by just two strokes. Ultimately, Cook walked away second medalist with 47 points and Madden won 3rd medalist by scoring 48 points.

   The Golf Teams play in the annual Hornet Classic next Monday, September 14, at Humboldt Golf & Country Club.
