Lady Trojans vs. Milan Bulldogs

On Thursday, August 20, the Lady Trojans Volleyball Team played against the Milan Bulldogs. The Lady Trojans played a defense-heavy game. Senior Kate Meadows played libero, and covered the back of the court, receiving and returning serves from the Bulldogs. The Lady Trojans won the first set 26-24. 

  The Lady Trojans continued their strong defense throughout the game. Sophomore Sadie Frye played middle while Senior Bella Turnage played outside. Both girls controlled the net with strong blocks. The Lady Trojans played hard throughout the entire game, but unfortunately lost three sets to one.

 “Everyone is disappointed with the final score, but I’m very proud of the way we competed and kept fighting all the way through. We competed and battled the whole way. I'm very proud of our girls,” Coach Jim MacArthur said.

   Throughout the game, the coaches kept encouraging and motivating the team. “We played good in spurts. We just need to get more consistent. We played well and hard,” Coach Dee Ahmad said. Come out Monday, August 24, to support our Lady Trojans against TCA.
