After the 8th graders from Dyersburg Middle School were given a tour of Dyersburg High School, they were all led to the gym for a final DHS Welcome. DHS held a mock pep rally to prepare the new students for what is to come when they become freshmen. The pep rally held multiple performances, including Dance, Cheer, Band and Step Team. Guidance counselor Anna Claire Lane also had some DHS students come out to represent their sport, show the 8th graders the various options they have, and let them know about spring tryouts coming up within the next few months. Before everyone was dismissed, Principal Kamela Rogers announced the annual DHS scavenger hunt for upcoming freshmen would be around the end of July and would be officially dated later in the school year.
