Student Spotlight
Each week, a DHS faculty nominate a student who has impressed them in some way. This week, our Student Spotlight is on junior Owen Bona. This junior athlete deserves recognition for his outstanding transition from football to cross country. Joining the team late and missing the summer training and preseason workouts, he could have easily struggled to catch up. Instead, he quickly embraced the challenge, demonstrating exceptional work ethic, determination, and commitment. He has become a natural leader in the team, consistently keeping pace with returning runners and setting a strong example for others. Most importantly, he has never missed a practice, proving that he is dependable, reliable, and fully committed to his teammates and the program. His willingness to work hard, lead by example, and consistently show up makes him an excellent choice for this spotlight recognition.
Congratulations, Owen! You are part of the reason it's always a great day to be a Trojan!
