The Dyersburg Lady Trojans volleyball team played Dyer County, fighting through a competitive match before ultimately falling to the Choctaws.

The Lady Trojans' energy was through the roof for all sets, cheering each other on with the help of the student section.

Dyersburg fought hard for their points and kept rallies alive with strong defense from the back row. Important saves helped keep the team in the game, giving Dyersburg numerous opportunities to counter Dyer County’s attacks.

At the net, senior Murphy Mae Morgan made a huge impact with several big blocks. Her blocks placed Dyer County under pressure, slowing down their offense and giving Dyersburg momentum during important plays.

The Trojans continued to fight through long rallies, refusing to let a dropped ball affect the amount of effort they put in on the next play.

Although the Lady Trojans were unable to walk away with the win, the team's energy and teamwork remained strong until the final point of the game.

The Trojans will look to carry that same intensity into their next match against South Gibson this Thursday, August 27, at home.
