The Trojans Open Baseball Season With a Win Against Ripley

On Monday, March 2, 2026, the Trojan baseball team hosted a small tournament at the Tom Mathis Field. The Ripley Tigers and the Lake County Falcons played against each other first. The Lake County Falcons gained an 11-6 win.
The Trojans then played the Ripley Tigers. To start out the game, the captain of the game, Ellis, threw the first pitch. Phillip Jones, the Trojan Nation’s prized announcer, threw the next pitch. Junior pitcher JP Noblin threw a complete game. With his consistent pitches, Ripley found it difficult to make any runs.
On the offense, junior outfielder Ty Seaton hit a single and advanced to third. Senior Ethan Austin went 2-4 at the plate with four RBI’s, and senior Alex Page with a double and an RBI and junior JP Noblin went 3-4 with an RBI.
Dyersburg's offense had a great showing, having 10 hits and 10 runs. They kept the same tempo on the field with no errors and 13 strikeouts. The Trojans defeated the Tigers 10-0.
The Trojans Baseball team plays the Ripley Tigers again on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Come out and support the Trojans!
