Trojan Basketball Teams Score a Friday Night Win

  On Friday, December 3, the Lady Trojans and Trojans Basketball teams played their first home game at the Terry Glover Gymnasium. Both teams dominated against the Humboldt Vikings.

   The Lady Trojans managed to keep up good stamina throughout the game. Junior Laya Currie, a new addition to the Lady Trojans basketball team, brought speed to the court as she averaged 5 turnovers by the end of the game. Senior Chelby Jordan was also a key component of Friday night’s energy. She had 9 total rebounds and turnovers. 

   As the Lady Trojans maintained their lead against the Lady Vikings, Senior Aerie Quinn was a top scorer for the game. By the end of the game, she had a total of 18 points. They ended the game with a 44-33 win.

   After the Ladies won their game, the boys followed up with their game against Humboldt. Junior Jayce Ellerbrook held up energy and put down more than a handful of points throughout the game. Juniors Jace Ward and Ja’kaydyn Parr also put a lot of energy into the court. 

   With a significant lead, the Trojans' basketball team was able to play with ease throughout the remainder of the game. They ended up winning 81-49.

   The Lady Trojans will be at home again for the Lady Trojan Christmas Tournament on the days of December 27, 29-30. Be sure to come out to support the Trojans!
