On March 31, 2026, the Dyersburg Trojan Soccer team went up against the Dyer County Choctaws. The game also included the team’s Senior Night, featuring the three long-term players: Elian Gonzalez, Seth Pounders and Edilberto Ramirez. The game ended in a victory for the Trojans and a memorable game for the seniors.

The first half included a swift goal by senior Elian Gonzalez, projecting the future win early on in the game. The game was looking good for the Trojans, and Senior Night was off to an early success.

Also within the first half, Gonzalez scored a second time with 19:24 left in the first half. junior Adrian Sanchez effectively blocked every goal attempted from the Choctaws, and Junior Erick Olvera continued to successfully dribble the ball around the opposing players.

After half time, sophomore Jackson Duggan made a goal as the timer hit 12:59.

With the game soon coming to an end, Gonzalez shot and scored the last goal of the game with a little less than nine minutes left in the game.

After an exciting game for both the students in the stands and the seniors on the Trojan Soccer team, the Trojans took the victory 4-0.
