Trojans Football Sweeps Brighton

On August 29, 2025, The Trojans played against the Brighton Cardinals. During the first quarter of the game, Dyersburg scored the first touchdown and made the extra point with kicker Elian Gonzalez to earn a lead of 7.  Shortly after, the Cardinals also scored a touchdown and extra point within their first and only time touching the ball during the first quarter, leaving the end score of the first quarter 7-7. During the second quarter, Dyersburg scored two more touchdowns while Brighton scored none, leaving the score to be 22-7 following the second quarter. At halftime, the Dyersburg Junior Trojans Cheer Team did their routine to Party In The USA, and the Trojan Marching Band performed their show titled “Heartbreaker” shortly afterwards. In the third quarter, the Cardinals scored a touchdown but their extra point was blocked,  leaving their score to 13 in the third quarter. The Trojans scored another two touchdowns during the third and made both field goal kicks, leaving their score to be 36 in the third. Finally, during the fourth quarter, the Cardinals scored two touchdowns and completed their following field goals successfully, leaving their score to be 27 while the Trojans remained at 36. The final score was 36-27 at the end of the game, giving the Dyersburg Trojans the win with a 9 point lead against the Cardinals!
