After a stressful day, there’s nothing quite like biting into a classic mac and cheese from Chick-fil-A. In Dyersburg, a wide variety of restaurants are available, ranging from chain establishments to local ones. There is something for everyone.

From a recent poll, out of 231 Dyersburg High School students, a majority chose Chick-fil-A to be the best. Other strong contenders included Taco Bell, Zaxby’s, and the recently opened Chipotle. With new restaurants on the rise, hype surrounding them is sure to follow. What makes these restaurants so memorable? What makes them the best?

When asked about Chick-fil-A, “I just like the food and it has good customer service…[I go with family,” sophomore Madison Harbin said.

When asked about Taco Bell, “I eat there too many times to count. They are usually quick to your order and nice to you. I go with friends and family, never solo. It is hard, but also many people choose Chick-fil-A, so I had to pick something different,” junior Mollie Wilson said.

When asked about El Patio, “I eat there twice a month. What keeps me coming back is the quality of food and the cozy atmosphere. I usually go with friends and family since everyone I know loves the food there,” senior Daniel Figueroa said.

The best restaurants are the ones that make you feel full not just in hunger, but also in warmth.

When asked about Chipotle, “I eat there around twice a week, and the good food keeps me coming back. I usually go solo. I judged each restaurant by food quality, how many times I went, and how good each of my experiences was,” sophomore Mariah Pierce said.

For newcomers, Dyersburg restaurants have something for everyone, from cultural restaurants to drive-thrus. The best restaurants are those with good service, quality and a genuine heart. With most of these being chain restaurants, they are typically conveniently found around the nation. After a chaotic day, having a quick and delicious meal is relieving to say the least- taking the weight off one’s shoulders and allowing oneself to spend time with one's loved ones.
