On August 12, approximately 15 upcoming members attended an informational DHS Trojan Drama meeting to discuss play dates, general information about auditions and what to expect for the 2025-2026 school year.

“Yesterday’s Drama Club meeting was the first time we’ve ever met with just new students who have never participated in a school production… By meeting with just new members, we were really able to go into detail,” director and theater teacher Trevor Yarbrough said.

Production members Olivia Davis, Peyton Bohannon, Myren Hurst and Max Peckenpaugh led the meeting with an opening from the director, Trevor Yarbrough, to fill them in on information and answer any questions they had about the club's processes. They discussed the fall play’s dates, the application process for both crew and actors and the upcoming date for next semester's play, the Drama Banquet and Thespian Convention.

“I’m really excited because there was one guy who wanted to act, and we really need more actors, especially guys, but unfortunately, most people don’t really want to act. I'm still looking forward to meeting everyone!” junior and production member Olivia Davis said.

Upcoming applications will be coming out on August 19, for actors, and the auditions will be scheduled for 5 p.m. on August 26. Applications for tech and crew will be available September 9 and due September 12.
