Dyersburg High School held its annual Jr. Trojan Cheer Clinic for this year’s basketball season. From eight to twelve, the DHS Basketball Cheerleaders volunteered to help the participants, who were in grades preschool through 5th grade. They prepared them for their performance on January 20 by rotating between the featured classes: tumbling, stunting, cheer and performance practice. This clinic gives both parents and kids a glimpse of what it is like to be a DHS cheerleader, emphasizing sportsmanship, learning and a drive for success. Whether your child has experience or not, the DHS Cheer program helps keep kids engaged with various games and positive reinforcement. These girls have accommodated kids of all kinds and allowed our special needs students to participate in this event with the rest of the children.
