Dyersburg Sweeps Obion County in District Play

On Thursday, May 1, 2025, the Dyersburg Lady Trojans Softball team played the Obion County Lady Rebels softball team. The Lady Trojans enter this tournament with a regular season record of 8-10. The Lady Rebels enter this tournament with a regular season record of 9-19. Obion and Dyersburg have generally had really good games in the regular season. The first game, on March 17, ended with Obion County winning 3-2. However, the Lady Trojans won the most recent game, on April 22, with a score of 4-0, further showing that the Trojans are more than capable of advancing in the District 13AAA Softball Tournament. As the game started, Fans and athletes were already confident in the outcome. By the end of the game, the Trojans won 10-0, closing the game early with a mercy rule. Shortly after, they had to play the Dyer County Lady Choctaws softball team. Although they were down the majority of the game, they picked it up in the 7th inning, getting 3 runs against Dyer County. Overall, the Lady Trojans did fall to the Lady Choctaws with a score of 3-5. The girls will continue in the tournament on Monday, May 5. Go Trojans!
