Senior year can feel like a countdown. It is filled with lasts, firsts and lessons that do not come from a workbook. Every football game, test and hallway conversation can mean a little more. While seniors enjoy the freedoms and exciting milestones, they also encounter stress, senioritis and many big decisions about the future. These are the ins and outs of senior year that can hopefully shape the most memorable chapter of high school.

Some ins that seniors take the most advantage of are all of the senior privileges. From getting out of school early to enjoy the last summer at home, or the memorable special events that will never be forgotten. Take time to enjoy prom, senior nights, graduation and even last time moments with friends we take for granted. During senior year, seniors feel as if they have more freedom and confidence. In the hallway, they walk with a little more pep in their step, and they feel more comfortable being themself.

Although there are many ins about senior year, it also comes with outs. The main out is senioritis. As the last bell of junior year rings, it starts to creep in. The motivation to do any school work disappears into thin air, and soon enough, it is graduation day. The days start to feel faster and with that being said, the priority in senior yearis to start balancing fun and responsibilities. Make the most of the year without letting grades slip.

In the end, senior year slips through their fingers before they know it. Seniors need to let their mom take those cringy pictures even if it feels awkward. Enjoy the little moments, not just the big ones. Finally, seniors need to give themselves some grace. They do not have to have everything figured out just yet.
