Lady Trojans soccer crowned Regional Champions

On Thursday, October 24, the DHS Girls’ Soccer team faced the South Gibson Hornets at J.C. Sawyers Stadium. The Lady Trojans won the regional championship 3-0.

In the first half, sophomore Haddy Manneh scored the first goal. Shortly after, Manneh scored another, setting the score 2-0. Additionally, senior Kathleen Harrel claimed two assists. After half-time, the two teams came back determined to win. Soon after the half started, Manneh scored the last goal of the match, winning a hat trick.

Everyone is invited to come and see the Lady Trojans compete against Brighton in sub-state on October 25 at J.C. Sawyers Stadium at 6 P.M.
