Monday night, April 28, 2025, the Dyersburg High School Tennis team honored their seniors. This year, the tennis team had 3 amazing seniors, 2 playing for their first year.

Luke Pepito, the boys’ team's 2nd seed player, joined tennis earlier this year and has made incredible growth, keeping a winning streak going for 4 consecutive games.

Avery Coleman, the girls’ team's seeded player, also joined for the first time. However, Coleman’s skills on and off the court shined throughout the season, showing her true athleticism and good attitude that she brought to the team.

Nina Paschall has played tennis all 4 years of high school, playing under 3 different coaches and proving that one can become a well-rounded player with time and dedication.

These seniors not only played great, they showed great sportsmanship throughout the season, showing others that the game does not define you, but how you respond does. Luke Pepito and Avery Coleman will continue their season next week in the district tournament, and we wish them the best of luck! Go Trojans!
