The Trojan baseball team's district play did not go as they may have wished. They swept Obion County but got swept by South Gibson, Dyer County, and Crockett, but not without putting up a fight. The Trojans put up good pitching battles in every game matchup this year, but it wasn’t enough. The first two district games were against Dyer County. Jack Smith for the Choctaws shut down, only giving up one hit, helping Dyer County get the win in game one, 6-0. Game two was a great matchup on the mound between John Parker Noblin and Landon Willis. The one scored run by the Trojans wasn’t enough, and they fell short to the Choctaws 3-1.

The next District series was against South Gibson. The first game wasn’t even a game. South Gibson's Gage Nesbitt pitched a great game, and their bats were hot. South Gibson got a huge win in game one, 12-0. In game two of the series, Dyersburg fought hard to try to pull off a win against the number 12 team in the whole state. With great pitching from Noblin once again and some hot Trojan bats, Dyersburg had the lead in the fifth inning, 4-3. Unfortunately, in the sixth, SG came out swinging and put up four runs, and the Trojans were down by two in the top of the seventh; they were able to get a run back, but it wasn’t enough, and the Trojans lost 6-5.

In the Obion series, the Trojans played great, their bats were hot and their defense was even better. The Trojans got two big wins to sweep the series 7-2 and 8-3. On Tuesday Aiden Chandler went four for five at the plate with several great hits. Ryan Wesson threw a complete game on the mound leading Trojans to victory giving up 0 earned runs. With the hot bats and great pitching, Dyersburg got the win and the sweep on Tuesday 8-3.

In game one against Crockett, Noblin pitched well but the bats weren’t going and the Trojans took a loss. In game two the Crockett County bats were hot; they scored eight runs and even hit a home run. Dyersburg was hitting it pretty good as well but weren’t hitting well with runners on base. Jayce Ellerbrook hit an RBI single to score the Trojans only run. Crockett swept the series with a game two win of 8-1.
