Last weekend, the High School Beta club hosted their first BETA BOOFEST. There was a spectacular turnout and they are very happy with the results.
For the past few weeks, the sponsors and BETA officers have been planning a fall event for the children in the community. At this event, the children were encouraged to dress up in their halloween costumes and participate in multiple games to earn tickets. When the kids had enough tickets, they were able to reach inside of the nose of Frankenstein's monster to receive candy or a prize.
All of the games were either fall or halloween themed with notable ones like, “Spider Race,” “Mummy Wrap,” “Boo Bowling” and “Tic-Tac-Pumpkin.” There were also multiple photo opportunities for parents to take pictures of their child.
BETA club members were required to sell four tickets, donate some form of supply that will be used during the event and work at least two hours before or during the event.
There were many places where students could work like the concession stand where kids could receive a drink, popcorn and a sweet treat. They could also work one of the games and guide the kids in their play.
Many families came to play with children ranging from all ages playing the games to earn tickets. Overall, the BETA BOOFEST was a success, and the sponsors and officers are already planning on having it next year.
We love our sponsors!!!
