Lady Trojans Defeat Lady Pioneer in 9-3 Showdown

   On Monday, April 6, 2026, the Lady Trojan softball team took on Gibson County’s Lady Pioneers at Doug French Field. 

   Starting off strong, sophomore Kyleigh Littles hit a double, later placing the Lady Trojans on the board in the bottom of the first inning.

   By the bottom of the third inning, the Lady Trojans led the Lady Pioneers by a score of 4-1, after senior Lily Kate Jones hit a double to right field and senior Izzie Odom hit a triple to left field. Jones and Odom, alongside Littles, each scored, further advancing the Lady Trojans.

   Starting pitcher Odom struck out seven hitters and allowed only one to walk throughout the intense battle.

   In the entirety of the game, the Lady Trojans earned ten hits--Littles, Odom, Jones and sophomore Mallory McCaslin collecting two each. Following the four players was senior Chelby Jordan, who stole three bases.

   With the game ending at 9-3, the Lady Trojans collected yet another win. 

   Today, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, the Lady Trojans will take on the South Gibson Lady Hornets.
