On August 29, DHS Cheerleaders hosted the annual Junior Cheer Clinic for kids in Pre-K to 5th grade, giving them the chance to learn tumbling, stunting, cheers and routines. The football cheer squad was up from 8-12, working with these kids to ensure they understood the material and were alert to what was to come.
During the event, Senior Brynlee Seay was the head instructor for the Cheer Abilities group. For the past two years, DHS Cheer has introduced a more accessible option for those with disabilities so they can be included in the fun without being put to the side.
DHS Cheer thanks everyone for their involvement in the program and asks everyone to come watch the Junior Cheerleaders during this Friday’s halftime show!
