Within the month of love, there are many opportunities to go on dates. But for students, it can be hard to come up with good, affordable date ideas. If you have this problem, we’ve got you covered! Here are some local (ish) article ideas!

In Dyersburg, several restaurants with special atmospheres and menus are sure to satisfy the appetite and romance of the evening.

Starting with the Black Smith restaurant just across the street from the beloved Dyersburg High School. This may be a pricey restaurant for some students, but it never leaves its customers wanting more. Surely a romantic dinner spot, with delicious dessert options. Some have noted the obscene but yummy appetizers, one that even has alligator in it.

In Union City lies the Discovery Park of America, a museum dedicated to several different parts of history. From dinosaur bones to an old-timey village, the Discovery Park has a place for everyone. History lovers are bound to appreciate the thoughtfulness of this adventure, and even offers a more comfortable atmosphere than one of sitting in a fancy restaurant. Enjoy some Dippin’ Dots, the huge baseball player slide and visit the discovery park!

Union City and Dyersburg both offer amazing restaurants, but Jackson offers a variety of different options for snacks, meals and desserts. Between your desired boba and froyo spots, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Starbucks and the beloved Olive Garden, there is no way to not enjoy your menu for the night. After your satisfying variety of treats, there are several shops around the city to hit for some fun shopping. This date is best for those with the more high maintenance and spontaneous kind of person.

Finally, there is always the option of staying home and ordering take out. Turn on a good movie, eat some snacks and spend time together. No matter what you decide to do, remember to cherish this moment with your significant other!
