Student Spotlight

Each week, a DHS student is nominated by faculty to be represented in the Student Spotlight. This week, our Student Spotlight is on Chelby Jordan. Coach AJ Adams had all of this to say about Chelby:

As her teacher and coach for the past three years, I have had the privilege of witnessing her remarkable growth both academically and athletically. Chelby Jordan exemplifies the qualities of a true leader and role model, not only within our school community, but also in her own personal pursuits. She consistently displays a strong work ethic and determination that sets her apart from her peers.

In addition to her academic and athletic prowess, Chelby leads by example, inspiring her teammates to strive for excellence and fostering a positive atmosphere on and off the court. Her approachable nature and willingness to support others make her an invaluable asset to any team or group she is part of.

I am particularly proud to share that Chelby has signed to continue her basketball career at Belmont University. This achievement is a direct result of her hard work, skill, and determination. It is not just her athletic talent that makes her stand out; it is her character and resilience that will undoubtedly contribute to her success in college and beyond.
